Neotez Volleyball Tournament

imagesIt’s that time of year again!  Time for the Neotez Volleyball Tournament.  The tournament is a fun way for Neotez to raise money each year.  Our Youth groups get together and play volleyball or just hang out!

We will leave right after classes on Sunday, September 13 and should be back no later than 6:15 PM (we are at the mercy of the games and organizers – we will send out a text/twitter  if we are running late)  CLICK HERE to sign up for texts.

If volleyball is not your thing, that’s OK, bring some cards or games and hang out and cheer our teams on!

  • Date:  Sept 13, 2015
  • Who: 6th-12th grade
  • When:  We leave right after AM classes.  We will return before or by 6:30 PM
  • Cost:  $6 – we ask that everyone donate whether you play or not – the money goes to Camp Neotez.
  • Cost:  $ for cheap lunch and dinner at the tournament.  About $10 for food will fill you up for the day.
    • ALL PROCEEDS go to camp!
  • Sign up here  BY SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 6 – whether you play or just come and cheer you need to sign up so we make sure to have enough transportation.
  • Bring
    • lawn chair
    • cards
    • sunscreen
    • tennis shoes
    • blanket or something to sit on
    • Money for Lunch ~ $5
    • Money for dinner ~ $5
    • anything else to get you through the day.
  • Please wear modest clothing – fingertip length shorts, t-shirts or something with a sleeve over the shoulder (no tank or halter tops please)
  • Please don’t bring iPods or electronic stuff  (Be With Who You’re With)

Teen Leadership Conference

Sign up here to let Mike know you’re going.  Then follow the directions below.

The 15th annual Teen Leadership Conference will be held February 3-5.  It is for sr. high students (see more criteria below).  The cost is $115 per person and includes conference registration, 2 nights’ lodging, 2 breakfasts and a banquet on Saturday night (you bring money for lunch on Saturday).

Pick up a registration form in the EPICenter.

You must complete the application and health form and mail it along with your references and $55 deposit to:  Jerry Williamson, Florissant Church of Christ, 16460 New Halls Ferry Road, Florissant, MO 63031.   The deadline is January 20, 2012 (leaders are responsible to meet their deadlines).  PLEASE NOTE – the hotel is requiring us to confirm names NOW.  Please get your registration stuff into Jerry ASAP – Your essay, psalm and references can still go in on the 20th.

Criteria for application include;;

  1. Must be a baptized believer
  2. Must be active in church youth program
  3. Must send two references from church leaders (one must be from your youth leader) with application.
  4. Write a 300-word essay on the topic: “A Leader I Admire” or “What I Hope to Get Out of This Conference”
  5. Must write a personal Psalm to God (example Psalm 116 or 130).
